IN THE SHOP
This is where I put photos, videos, audio and whatever else that pertains to building a customer's
instrument.   For the most part, it reflects what is on the bench, as well as a means of keeping my
customers abreast of what is going on with their instruments.
I have been building a ukulele to be auctioned off to benefit FIDELCO, a foundation that
trains guide dogs for the blind.  As part of the auction, I decided to document the building of
this instrument and have made it available in a PowerPoint show presentation. Enjoy.

BUILDING THE FIDELCO UKE SLIDESHOW
FOR SALE: 1996 Jayco 1207 Jay series folding camper.  Features  king and queen pull out beds, sink with
water tank, removable propane stove, heater, AC, power converter, awning, spare tire, roof bicycle rack and
removable table.  It is setup for additional bedding using dinette and U seating area.  It can comfortably sleep four
adults with 2-3 children.  It opens up to 24’x7’.   We purchased this camper this past spring using it four times and
felt it was too large for our needs so we are looking at downsizing.  Upon purchasing it we pulled the canvas off and
had the corners where they meet the beds reinforced and one very small hole, the size of a penny, repaired. I also
replaced the breakers on the fuse box and the converter as well as had a professional go through the electrical
system to make sure it operated properly.  There was a small leak along the center weather strip on the top but
that will be professionally repaired prior to the sale.  No other leaks.  The canvas is in excellent condition.  The
latch on the door will be replaced prior to the sale, as the original has stiffened up and is difficult to use.  It will be
keyed.  I have not used the refrigerator, sink or the stove, but the previous owner said that they worked.  I have
used the AC and it works fine, as does the interior lights and outlets.  The awning works fine except one pole is
slightly bowed.  It comes with two LP tanks but I haven’t used them and don’t know if they need filled or not. The
tires appeared to be in good condition.  I tow it with a Jeep Cherokee without problem.  It has the hydraulic surge
brake system. Requires a 2” ball.   If you have any additional questions please let me know.  Asking $2800 or will
trade for a smaller unit.  I will consider paying or receiving cash difference on another unit, so feel free to make
offer.  I don’t need a refrigerator or stove but would like interior lights and AC.  Email or call 812-343-3242 with
questions.  Also, I am looking for an electric golf cart if you want to make that part of the deal.
Heres a shot of what all is going on in
my shop. I've definitely have too many
projects going and need to learn to
decline orders and manage my time
better.  These will be done by the end
of the year.
Chris' instrument.  14.5" scale four string.
